Luke’s short film Mixtape was made in 2009. During the course of making the film he met Joanna.

Mixtape went on to receive several awards and accolades including a BAFTA nomination for best short film, launching Luke’s career as a writer/director.

Luke and Joanna have been married since 2014 and live in South East London with their two children. They founded Mixtape Pictures in 2025.
